Who we are

This privacy policy explains how CRsteel collects, uses and stores personal information from visitors to this website.

Comments and form submissions

When visitors submit our contact or enquiry forms we collect the data entered in the form (name, email, phone, message and any uploaded files), and we may collect the visitor's IP address and browser user-agent string to help with spam detection.

An anonymised string (hash) created from your email address may be provided to Gravatar to determine whether you have an account with that service.

Media

If you upload images to the website you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors to the website can extract such data from images posted on the site.

Cookies

We use cookies to remember your preferences and to keep you signed in to any account area. These cookies contain no personal data and expire automatically.

If you visit our login page, a temporary cookie is set to determine whether your browser accepts cookies; it is discarded when you close your browser.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in exactly the same way as if you had visited the other website. These sites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional tracking and monitor your interaction with that embedded content.

Who we share your data with

We do not share personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. We may share enquiry data with our delivery and fabrication partners strictly to fulfil your order.

How long we retain your data

Enquiry and order data is retained for as long as is necessary to fulfil the order and to comply with statutory record-keeping requirements (typically 7 years).

Your rights over your data

You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (subject to any legal obligation we have to retain it). Contact us via the contact page to make a request.
